Our Coaches & Managers |
Like most Australian amateur sports clubs we rely on volunteers for
coaches, assistant coaches and managers. Without these volunteers who donate
their time, energy and enthusiasm, this club, like many clubs, couldn't function. We
recognise and appreciate their commitment to their children and their children's
friends' sporting development.

Coach |
We greatly appreciate those who volunteer for the role of team coach. Coaching can be a very rewarding experience as you watch your players grow and develop in football skills and as people, and see them have fun and make friendships. Some coaches may have been involved with football all their lives while some may have taken up the torch more recently. Some of the most outstanding coaches may be relatively new to the task but have an enthusiasm that's an inspiration for their team. The most important attribute is often just being able to encourage children to try their best at all times and enjoy their football whatever the outcome. All our coaches have access to the coaching recourses provided by us and the QCSA and are fully supported and assisted. Available coaching courses include free basic sessions to fully accredited FFA courses for which the club usually sponsors its members. We encourage all our coaching staff to avail themselves as much as possible of these and other resources, and to advance their qualifications as far as possible. |

Assistant Coach |
Having someone to act as an assistant coach can be a huge blessing for a team and can take some pressure off the main coach. Like the coach, assistant coaches are encouraged and assisted to advance their qualifications. |

Manager |
If you'd like to be involved, but think coaching is not your thing, you may consider being your team's manager. Managers attend to the more administrative ( aka paperwork ) side of running a team. Your contribution as a manager is invaluable, and allows the coaches to concentrate on coaching. A team manager can make life a lot easier for the whole team. |
