Do you want to keep fit, contribute to the game you love and make some money while you're at it ? Then refereeing may be for you.
The QCSRA is now calling for interest for the initial 2011 Referee's Courses to be run in January and February 2011. Dates as below.
Boys, girls, men and women are welcome. Places are limited so you'll need to register your interest as soon as possible.

Attendance: You can attend either course but must attend both days of a course, from 8am to 4pm each day.
Course 1: Saturdays, 22nd & 29th January 2011 - This course starts within the last week of the school holidays. - Course Full
Course 2: Saturdays, 5th & 12th February 2011 - This course starts after the new school year starts.
Cost: The cost will be approximately $50, payable in cash or cheque on the first day. You'll receive a printed Lawbook, DVD Lawbook and Participant Workbook and the Exam.
Contents: The course covers all Laws of the Game. There's also some practical training required to be performed prior to refereeing any games.
Location: Brittain Park, Troughton Rd, Coopers Plains.
Additional costs: If after successful completion of the course you decide you'd like to actually referee matches you need to join a suitable Referee's Association and acquire your equipment and uniform. The additional costs for those who wish to join Queensland Churches Soccer Referees Association, ( QCSRA ), including membership fees and uniforms, will be about $150. This isn't required upfront and is subtracted from your earned match fees over the course of the season.
Age: Members of the QCSRA must turn at least 14 yo during the year in which they referee.

Northside Christian FC - Committee Vacancies
NCFC is seeking expressions of interest to fill committee and volunteer positions. Our club functions on willing volunteers without which we couldn't do what we do. Usually each year some committee members leave while new members come on board. The number of new members needed varies from year to year. Last year several of our committee members retired from their positions after making very valuable contributions. We're hopeful of finding new volunteers for every vacant committee and volunteer position for the new year so the load is spread out and no one has too great a task.
