In General...
Matches from Under 9s and up are officiated by qualified Referees and Assistant Referees ( AR's - previously called Linesmen ) provided by the independent Queensland Churches Soccer Referees Association ( QCSRA ). Some senior matches are run by Baptist Football Queensland ( BFQ ) and are officiated by BFQ qualified Referees and ARs. However, no refereeing organisation provides officials for Under 8's and younger matches.

In the Past...

Prior to the 2007 season Under 8's and younger matches at Darien Street had to be refereed by parents. Many parents didn't enjoy this, to say the least, and the outcomes weren't ideal.

Starting from the 2007 season Northside Christian FC trained and provided their own Referees for all Under 8's and younger matches. The Referees from our inaugural Class of 2007 refereed all Darien Street Rooball matches during that season. They were very well received and appreciated. In 2008 we expanded the service and supplied ARs to many older level games when official ARs weren't available.

2009 Season and beyond. Following the very positive outcomes for all concerned from this initiative we intend to continue with and develop this aspect of the club for future seasons.
